Best Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • 1 cup balsamic red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 or 2 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp anise seed
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


  • Mix all ingredients together, minus olive oil. I like to make this dressing the day before.
  • When serving, toss the salad with the olive oil first (can use more so leaves are lightly coated). Then add the mixed dressing. You can dress any salad with it, and I like to sprinkle a bit of parmesan on my salad as well.
