My mom has the most perfect salad dressing recipe and I’ve been meaning to share it with you! It’s an easy, simple vinaigrette that gets better as it sits a few days. My husband had some high blood pressure issues lately so we’re going to try to eat more salad!
Best Balsamic Vinaigrette
- 1 cup balsamic red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 or 2 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp anise seed
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Mix all ingredients together, minus olive oil. I like to make this dressing the day before.
- When serving, toss the salad with the olive oil first (can use more so leaves are lightly coated). Then add the mixed dressing. You can dress any salad with it, and I like to sprinkle a bit of parmesan on my salad as well.
This is just a great and easy vinaigrette that people rave over, you can use it on any kind of salad and it keeps well in pantry or fridge.
