So we finally, finally, had a day with zero humidity in south Florida yesterday (which equals our winter), and my hair looked awesome! I don’t mind saying so myself, it was soft, kind of flowy, no flyaways, and as close to perfect as it’s going to get. Anyone who knows me knows that I have serious, serious hair problems. As in, I hate my hair! As I spend a ton of time looking at other people’s hair, I have come to believe that good hair is genetic, and if you don’t have it, you’re not going to get it, no matter how many products, keratin treatments, cuts and colors you do, it all starts with having basic “good hair.” So, I’ve come to accept that, it’s never going to be long, thick, shiny and supermodel-y. I can deal with that. And my hair is a prey to the weather, as well, unfortunately, the slightest bit of humidity in the air, and I puff right up (is it possible for hair to be both dry AND frizzy?) Why yes, yes it is. So I take the good hair days as they come, and make do with the rest of the days, maybe someday a real miracle product will be developed (the closest thing I’ve found is Moroccan Oil, by far) but until then I just have a little party on zero humidity days and lust after “nice hur” on Pinterest!
