When I lived in Florida, I had a close girlfriend who was all about midcentury modern. She was pretty much of the opinion that if you live in Florida it’s the only way to go with decor, if you didn’t want something that was too trendy or over-the-top, or if you felt like coastal chic was just too much (after all Florida on its own is coastal chic, right? Or in many cases just coastal ha ha but you get it). I have never been a huge fan of midcentury modern, I’m definitely more of a maximalist, but I really do love these deep, calming and simple pieces (some of which happen to be Ikea hacks see the photo links below for tuts), with these I’m feeling that clean and simple vibe for sure!
