If you’re not lucky enough to have concrete walls (and really who would, outside of our unfinished basement which trust me, no one would want to live in!), we are a regular house with regular sheetrock like everyone else. But there are definitely things you can do if you crave the edgy, industrial look of the loft life. There are tons of wallpaper options out there that have an industrial feel, or you could definitely go with a deep, dark gray paint which adds that industrial edge without the texture. And decorative painting, like peeling or distressing your walls is an option as well. Obviously real concrete is the coolest look, but there are definitely options for homes without up and having to move to a repurposed space. I just love the edge that industrial design offers, and you can pull it off in small doses too say, one single accent wall in a living room or office.
