Did I ever share that when growing up, we had an actual antique butter churn in our kitchen? Well, it was the height of the 80s and we sure did, later on in life I actually read the unauthorized bio of Martha Stewart and it turns out she was the one behind the whole 1980s country chic thing (and I use the term “chic” loosely!). Anyway, seeing as I now legit live in the country (and on a dirt road nonetheless), we actually have the ideal spot for a faux butter churn ha ha but no. I actually love a mixture of urban and rustic styles, I hate any one “theme” in a design, and I’m loving the way these designers mix it up. Abstract art or a gallery wall, chic bar cart, and mixed up with natural woods and fresh cut florals, mix it up!
