Trying to find small moments of gratitude and beauty during all of this, and one thing I’m grateful for, since we now spend 99.9% of our time at home doing our part, is that we had a little kitchen update done in February. Really so grateful to have a nice little home to hide away in right now. We kept it all pretty inexpensive and standard, but we did splash out with a little backsplash in the kitchen. The kitchen is so tiny I didn’t want anything too busy, so we actually did the silver pressed tin tiles from Home Depot, and they came out great! I just didn’t have the time or energy to fool with custom tile, but our contractors assured me that the pressed tin will come off easily if we ever want to update, so I really love seeing these fantastic custom tile projects here, it gives me some great ideas! So pretty, don’t you think?
And I’ve heard from some interior designers who are worried about their businesses, I honestly feel so confident about interior design in the near future, I feel like with people spending all this time at home that they will be chomping at the bit to get all those updates of all the little things they never noticed before that they didn’t know they wanted, and will most definitely need some sort of change! So take heart, creating a Pinterest board or idea book of your home remodeling dreams is a great way to pass the time and think to the future!
