We all know the Scandinavians have mastered the art of hygge, which, if you’ve been hiding under a blog rock for the past 10 years, is the art of making your home warm and cozy and embracing winter frigidness rather than trying to fight it, but when I think of hygge, I usually think of deep, dark colors, crackling fireplaces and warm browns, reds and rusts. However, it’s evident that pink can be hygge too, just check out these delightful, warm and cozy rooms. They are so winter cozy, while still maintaining the bright, happy shades of spring!
I’m beginning to understand hygge after spending a few pretty brisk fall days here in Vermont, and what I now know is that hygge makes you fat, lol! All that tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cider intended to keep you cozy and warm while bundled up at home also adds an extra layer of warmth to your midsection lol, which I guess is the idea because you need that extra layer of padding to survive, but it’s been a hard lesson to learn lately, lol!
