Postmodern Boho

If there’s one thing I’m not a huge fan of, it’s postmodern decor. I like things oversized, glitzy, overstuffed, in other words, I like my decor to a bit “extra.” I’ve never seen an empty wall space that I don’t want to cover and my bed has, I kid you not, 10 decorative pillows (not counting our sleeping pillows). They do serve the dual purpose of keeping the cats off the bed (or so I tell my husband) and yes it does take an extra couple of minutes in the morning to put them all back (but did I mention I’m a little “extra” myself?). So 1950s-style postmodern decor just does not ring my bell. It’s all so stark, and it looks so uncomfortable.

But when I ran across this little collection of photos on Pinterest, I finally saw how someone might get down with postmodern, pair it with boho! These stark leather wing chairs which I would hate, actually look warm and cozy with the throws, rugs and gallery walls. So my hat is off to these designers for pulling off this touch of extra!
