How to Mix Pink, Brown + Black

how to mix pink brown and black

I wrote a post awhile back called How to Make Pink Modern and it was super popular, so I can only assume I’m not the only one looking for different ways to wear and style with pink.  Let’s face it, most chicks like pink, I know I secretly do, but particularly if you’re a lady of a certain age (and by that I mean a little tiny bit over 40!) it gets harder to pull off pink without looking like Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, if you feel me.  So I gathered together some more fab modern pink inspiration here.

Banana Republic gets it so right with this flowing maxi dress.  The length and polished shirtdress offsets any over-the-top femininity and the pairing with khaki and black offsets the sweetness of the pink.

Still shopping for Benjamin Moore?  Think outside the box with Flamant Paints.  Flamant is a European paint company that opened its first shop in Antwerp over 20 years ago, and they have a definite eye for unique color and style.  Just check out this amazing color palette they developed, the dark chocolate and khaki offset the blush and pink, add in some gold accessories and this would make an awesome paint and trim combo for an office.

And then see it all come together in a room like this.  The sugar pink wall is broken up with graphic black and white art, some gold (always a winner) and other neutral modern, neutral accents for the win!  So remember, you don’t have to shy away from pink to design with and to wear, it just needs the right color and accent pairing.  So don’t be afraid of pink – be bold!
