Easily Convertible & Stylish Exercise Equipment That Won’t Disrupt Your Interior Design

Don’t have the room for a home gym? Don’t worry! Use these exercise accessories to break a sweat without a gym membership

Getting in shape and staying in shape is no easy task. I know for me, I feel more comfortable breaking a sweat in my home rather than going to the gym. However, I’ve found that the majority of at-home exercise equipment is just not made for highly designed interiors. Too often exercise equipment is bulky and visually unappealing. That’s why I’ve created a list of some of my favorite exercise equipment that won’t interrupt your home interior. After all, we don’t all have space for a dedicated home gym! Let’s explore some of my favorite design-friendly exercise equipment—you may even find the perfect equipment to get fit in your home.

  1. Mini Cubii JR2+ Elliptical

This little mini elliptical equipment easily stores away underneath your desk

The Cubii JR2+ is a mini but powerful elliptical that lets you get your steps in while you’re working at a desk. It includes all the standard features of lightweight construction, portability, and adjustability with the added benefit of Bluetooth. The bluetooth capability allowed me to keep track of my progress using Cubi integrated with my other fitness apps.

The quiet mini elliptical functionality makes this equipment perfect for those who want to stay active without disturbing family members. The miniature elliptical also features a built-in carrying handle for portability. I was able to move the elliptical from room to room and use it in a variety of different settings like working or watching TV.

The Cubii JR2+ has 8 adjustable levels of resistance so you can modify it to fit your needs and make sure that you’re getting a worthwhile workout every time. In my opinion, the best part of the Cubii JR2+ is that the whole device fits underneath your desk and can be easily stored away so that it doesn’t affect your interior design.

2. Equipt Ubarre

This stylish weight doubles as conversation-starting decor

The Gold Ubarre weight from Equipt will make the perfect addition to your home fitness equipment. It definitely subtly added to my home design without being obvious workout equipment. The beautiful matte gold finish and elegant design is sure to compliment any surrounding decor. I placed my Ubarre in the corner of my living room and while it definitely drew some attention, it looks more like a decorative piece than a freeweight.

The Ubarre weight comes in four different weights— 4lb, 8lb, 12lb, and 16lb. So whether you’re just starting out or you’re already used to working out five times a week, you’ll be able to find the perfect option. The Ubarre is also available in several different colors—white, rose, or black—so you can get a Ubarre that will match your interior decor.

3. Tonal Smart Home Gym

Keep track of your goals and break a sweat with this minimized smart home gym

You’ve got to love a home workout that is just as good—if not better—than one you can get at the gym. With Tonal Smart Home Gym you can get that kind of workout without having to alter your home decor. When you purchase a Tonal Smart Home Gym you get access to hundreds of trainer-led classes and a full-body workout in one compact device. Plus, it’s designed to deliver personalized experiences using advanced technology developed by tonal. I found that the tonal gym is a great way to maximize your at-home workout experience without sacrificing all the hard work you put into your interior design.

Tonal recommends 7 feet of wall space and floor space for workouts. But, if you have limited space, there are also smaller options available for those who want get the most out of a small space without sacrificing quality of workout.

Get access to trainers and workout plans right from the Mirror in your home

Looking for a high-end workout mirror that functions like a personal trainer and boutique fitness studio all in one? Well, then you’re in the right place because today I’m going to tell you about the LuLuLemon Studio MIRROR. This sleek, minimalist-approved mirror comes with a 43 inch full high-definition display that functions as a boutique fitness studio right in your home. I was able to work out with several different engaging instructors and even try out new types of classes I haven’t tried before—like Tibata!

This full-service workout mirror has over 10,000 classes on demand that you can access exclusively from the Lululemon Studio MIRROR. It also monitors all of your stats to chart your progression, so there’s no need for a gym membership or a personal trainer! The MIRROR also includes Bluetooth-powered heart rate monitoring and real-time optimizations that help personalize your workouts. From an interior design perspective, the MIRROR is a functional mirror when not in use, meaning that the sleek design won’t mar your chic home decor vibes like other standard, bulky exercise equipment.

5. Marcy Foldable Upright Exercise Bike

This lightweight and durable bike fits perfectly into a closet or storage area

If you’re looking for an exercise bike that can help you reach your fitness goals, look no further than the Marcy Foldable Upright Exercise Bike.

Designed with convenience in mind, this bike is slight and durable without sacrificing comfort. It has a high-density foam padded seat and comes with grips to help you maintain proper form. The seat is also adjustable so that it can be easily adjusted to fit your height and size.

The Marcy Foldable Upright Exercise Bike also includes an LCD display that tracks progress as you train. The screen automatically displays distance traveled, time elapsed, current speed, and the amount of calories burned. As far as resistance, this bike features a magnetic resistance mechanism that can be adjusted to meet your fitness level. Best of all, I’ve found that this is one of the easiest exercise bikes to hide away in a closet or a storage area after use. Since it doesn’t take up much space, you won’t have to sacrifice a lot of storage space in your home either.

Maintaining your fitness level and keeping your interior design principles intact is not easy, but it is definitely possible using these handy pieces of equipment. I know that these devices inspired me both from an exercise and design standpoint. Whether you are a fitness enthusiast or a beginner, these are great tools to try out without making major changes to the look of your apartment.
