Is there a more perfect combination in decor than gold and white? I don’t think so. If you’re stuck in a rental apartment with white walls and you’re not allowed to paint, go for full-on glam with gold accents and voila, instant chic! In cases like this, mirrors (I took 6 $5 gold-framed door mirrors from Walmart and hung them horizontally over the sectional using Command strips: insta-glam for under $40!) are your friend. And gold spray paint is another go-to for me, I’ve painted lamp bases, frames from Goodwill, pots and vases, even furniture and the results are pretty impeccable, and if you need to, keep a can on hand for a quick touch-up.
