I always love a combination of high and low, rough and soft, and brass and wood falls right into this category. No one wants the same of everything, and it’s important in your interiors to mix it up a little bit. When I was growing up (and I was born in 1974 so it totally fits), we had a ton of brass in our house. Our kitchen was yellow, and country circa 1980s Martha Stewart (ya’ll we had an antique butter churn. A butter churn!!!) and we also had a lot of brass, namely brass pineapples. So at first I was kind of horrified by the brass trend, but now I’m all over it. Anyway, these are just some of my latest faves, mixing pineapple and…brass. And wood! For the win.
